Wanderings around Athens

In a city as beautiful as this, when I'm not sitting down whiling the hours away drinking coffee or hot chocolate with friends, I love to just wander the streets of Athens.
Nice hot chocolate at Cafe Mon Cheri - Kolonkai

There are many interesting old buildings to stumble across, people to look at as they go about their every day activities...in short, in order to appreciate Athens to its fullest, you don't need to just go and view the Acropolis.

Here is a selection of my favourites:

The weekly Farmer's Market

Balcony life on old buildings

Nice place to while away the hours - Plaka

Outside the Acropolis Museum at night

                                             Graffiti - art or vandalism?

And my favourite one so far:

Wandering down a slightly dilapidated side street in Monastiraki -
and happening upon this beautiful facade.
